Recycling Help

Put down the headphones and step away from the trash can — those old electronics can be reused or recycled. At Skullcandy, we’re doing our best to reduce waste, and we appreciate you taking the time to learn about recycling your old headphones or earbuds. Recycling is easy — we’ve listed a few options below.

  1. LOCAL DONATION CENTERS The best way to dispose of your unwanted (but still fully functional) electronics is to give them to someone who can use them but may not be able to buy them new. The Salvation Army or Goodwill would love to take your old headphones for someone in need. They’ll even give you a receipt to use for your tax return.
  2. BEST BUY With nearly 1,000 locations across the US, there’s bound to be a Best Buy near you. Best Buy will take up to 3 household items per day for recycling and has collected more than 2 billion pounds of electronics and appliances for recycling. It’s the largest retail collection program in the US.
  3. YOUR LOCAL RECYCLING CENTER You can’t just toss your electronics in the recycle bin with your cardboard and aluminum cans, but there’s probably a recycling center near you. These are normally broken up into different areas per type of recycled materials, and most have an area for electronics. Follow this link to find a recycling center near you.

For more information about how and where to donate or recycle your unwanted electronics, visit the Electronics Donation and Recycling page at epa.gov.
